- RYAN BINGHAM RETURNS WITH HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM WITH THE TEXAS GENTLEMEN
RYAN BINGHAM - They Call Us The Lucky Ones Acclaimed Oscar and Grammy-winning musician Ryan Bingham will release They Call Us The Lucky Ones , his highly anticipated new album with The Texas Gentlemen, May 15 via The Bingham Recording Co./Thirty Tigers. Ahead of the release, his new song, ' Ballad of The Texas Gentlemen ,' is out now Of the track, Bingham shares, " After years of being out on my own and playing shows on and off with The Texas Gentlemen, I realized somewhere along the way I was part of a band again without really planning it. 'Ballad of The Texas Gentlemen' really came out of that moment - just being back out on the road with people you trust and remembering why you fell in love with playing music in the first place." His first full-length project in over seven years, They Call Us The Lucky Ones further cements Bingham as one of the most authentic and compelling voices in American music. Across the album's 10 tracks, including previous releases ' The Lucky Ones ' and ' Americana ,' Bingham reflects on the highs and lows of an artist's life on the road and his newfound sense of joy and hope, all framed by the unique genre-defying sound he and The Texas Gentlemen create together. "This album was probably the most fun I've had making a record," Bingham reflects. "I've always loved records that feel loose and live and gritty with a bit of soul, where the imperfections from the moment are left in. Working with musicians as talented as The Texas Gentlemen really let us lean into that in a way I hadn't experienced before. There was an unspoken understanding between us about what each song needed, so we tracked most of it live with minimal overdubs, just playing and letting the feel lead. It finally felt like I was capturing these songs the way I always heard them in my head. We can't wait to get out on the road and share them with fans." In celebration of the new music, Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen will embark on their extensive Still Gettin' Away With It Tour this spring, including newly confirmed stops at New York's Irving Plaza, Boston's Roadrunner, Philadelphia's The Fillmore, Washington D.C.'s Lincoln Theatre and Pittsburgh's Stage AE among many others. Full details can be found at www.ryanbingham.com . In addition to Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen— Ryan Ake (guitars), Daniel Creamer (piano, organ), Paul Grass (drums, percussion) and Scott Lee (bass)—the record also features Richard Bowden (fiddle, mandolin) and Cody Huggins (electric guitar, acoustic guitar, pedal steel). They Call Us The Lucky Ones will be released on vinyl in multiple exclusive retail variants, including Classic Black, Indie Retail exclusive "Electric Smoke," Barnes & Noble exclusive "Blue Sky," Amazon exclusive "Vintage Bone" and the webstore-exclusive limited edition "Roadside Rust." The album will also be available on CD and a nostalgia-inspired cassette, with all formats available for pre-order HERE . Bingham is a Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe, and Critics' Choice Award-winning singer-songwriter and actor whose raw, world-weary voice and evocative storytelling have made him one of the most distinctive artists of his generation. From his early years as a drifter and bull rider to penning 'The Weary Kind' for the film Crazy Heart, Bingham has built a career defined by authenticity and artistic independence. His music—spanning folk, blues, country, and rock—reflects a life fully lived, blending grit, vulnerability, and resilience in equal measure. Across six studio albums, two live records, and his 2023 self-produced EP Watch Out For The Wolf, Bingham has remained committed to unfiltered, genre-defying storytelling, most recently captured in his live album Live at Red Rocks . In addition to his acclaimed music career, he starred as fan-favorite 'Walker' on Paramount's record-breaking series Yellowstone . Beyond the stage and screen, Bingham has launched his own record label, founded the Fort Worth-based festival and rodeo, The Great Western, and introduced Bingham Spirits, beginning with Bingham's Bourbon in 2024. - DAVID BOWIE YOU'RE NOT ALONE LIGHTROOM UNVEILS MAJOR NEW SHOW OPENING IN APRIL
COMING 22 APRIL 2026 | LIGHTROOM | LONDON KING'S CROSS N1C [London, Tuesday 10 February 2026] Today Lightroom announces a groundbreaking show, David Bowie: You're Not Alone , which will transport visitors into the iconic performances and creative mind and spirit of one of the world's most visionary and influential artists. Featuring the artist as its sole voice, David Bowie: You're Not Alone is both a multimedia spectacle and an intimate and revealing self-portrait. The 360° experience, produced by Lightroom and designed by 59, a Journey studio, is written and directed by 59's Mark Grimmer (Creative Director for the V&A's David Bowie Is exhibition) and Tom Wexler. You're Not Alone will showcase some of Bowie's landmark performances that redefined popular culture, using a mixture of iconic, rarely seen and never-before-exhibited material, selected from thousands of hours of film in the vaults of the David Bowie Archive in New York, from Space Oddity through Diamond Dogs and "Heroes" to ★ . Audiences will have the chance to feel they have travelled through time to experience Bowie in performance - up close and first-hand. Each track in the show has been newly reconfigured to utilise Lightroom's specialised spatial audio system by multiple Olivier and Tony award-winning sound designer Gareth Fry ( Harry Potter & The Cursed Child , David Bowie Is ). This is David Bowie, the man himself. Instead of magnifying the myth through the lens of his characters - Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, Halloween Jack, The Thin White Duke - You're Not Alone places its focus on the man behind the masks: the provocateur, the polymath, the shapeshifting icon in his enduring, human form. The film is structured in thematic chapters in a looping presentation, giving a unique insight into Bowie's perspective on the subjects most important to him, including: theatricality, spirituality, songwriting and the transformative power of creativity. There are surreal moments, like the transatlantic TV interview with Russell Harty in 1975, in which Bowie artfully takes control of the narrative and the interviewer is reduced to asking him questions about the colour of his hair. Elsewhere, the reconstructed set of the inimitable Diamond Dogs tour materialises before our very eyes, igniting a Bowie performance unlike any other captured on film. Bringing together a wealth of visual material from a wide range of sources, the show combines rare performance footage, photography, drawings, lyrics, personal notes and audio recordings. David Bowie: You're Not Alone will celebrate Bowie's boundless curiosity as a force that connected people across continents and generations, as well as his enduring cultural impact today. The show builds on Lightroom's growing repertoire of critically acclaimed shows that have now been seen by over 1.5 million visitors globally, including creative collaborations with David Hockney, Tom Hanks, Anna Wintour and Vogue and Apple TV. David Bowie: You're Not Alone is being made in close collaboration with and authorized by the David Bowie Estate. Mark Grimmer, who also wrote and directed Lightroom's David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller and further away) said: "It says something about our relationship with artistic heroes that we're drawn to mystery, otherness, the alien... In Bowie's case, this is our construct, not his. Throughout his career, Bowie repeatedly resisted being figured as anything but human. Rather than undermining his mystique, we designed a show to celebrate Bowie as a champion of human creativity - focusing on the message he expressed time and again: that art, in all its forms, is our best hope for understanding what it means to be alive." David Sabel, Executive Producer at Lightroom said: "Lightroom offers an incredible opportunity to step inside an artist's imagination and creative universe – weaving film, photography, animation, text and music into a story that can only be experienced in this space. I cannot think of an artist more suited to this than David Bowie. To spend time in his world as it comes to life around you and to travel back and forth across the decades of astonishing performances, whether reliving them or experiencing them for the first time, is a total thrill. Working so closely with RZO and the David Bowie Archive has been a great privilege." Tickets for David Bowie: You're Not Alone will go on sale on 10 February at 7pm, priced from £25 for adults and £15 for students and concessions. Tickets will be available here from 22 April until 28 June, with more tickets being released for summer soon. - POLICE DOG HOGAN SHARE THE NEW SINGLE 'JUST BREATHE'
POLICE DOG HOGAN NEW SINGLE 'JUST BREATHE' Police Dog Hogan's ferocious live following is deceptively simple to explain: in an ever-changing world fraught with bleak news, they provide a space where the here-and-now is all that really matters. The heart of their country-pop / bluegrass is big melodies, evocative emotions and timeless musicianship - all qualities which stand tall in the new single 'Just Breathe' . It previews their new album 'The Light At The Top Of The Stairs' , which follows on April 10th . Like its parent album, 'Just Breathe' is an astute, profound meditation on the passing of time. The husky soul of J ames Studholme's voice ruminates on how everything slowly changes across life's rich tapestry - but regardless of what evolves, the serene joy of escaping into nature never alters, no matter how many decades pass. The song reflects that calm and purity, floating breezily from sparse piano accompaniment into the grander scale of its hook to achieve a mood of low-key transcendence. James says, " Just Breathe is a reflection on mortality, from the perspective of someone who's got more life behind him than in front of him. But it's also about acceptance; there's always more to say, and never enough time to say it. " 'Just Breathe' was written by James Studholme . It was produced by the Grammy -winning George Murphy ( Mumford & Sons , The Coronas , Ron Sexsmith ). 'Just Breathe' is the third song to preview the album following the road trip Americana of 'Passing Through' and the folk-stomping, biblical flood storytelling of 'Seven Kinds of Rain' . Its stories explore the experiences that come to us all, in time - from grief to lost love - and their visceral emotions are heightened by the band, a collective with plenty of life experience between them. 'The Light At The Top of The Stairs' promises to be the defining masterpiece from the long-established cult favourites. They've achieved so much: selling out the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire , playing at Glastonbury , supporting The Beach Boys , being nominated at the UK Americana Award . But there's no real secret to their accomplishments - simply, they battled through the early indifference that all bands experience, and played together for so long that a shared music intuition emerged. The band consists of James Studholme (guitar, vocals), Eddie Bishop (fiddle, mandolin), Tim Dowling (banjo, steel guitar), Emily Norris (trumpet), Shahen Galichian (accordion, piano), Don Bowen (bass) and Alistair Hamer (drums). Police Dog Hogan will take 'The Light At The Top of The Stairs' on a headline tour from April , leading up to a major London show at the Islington Assembly Hall . They have also confirmed details of their own Hoganberry Weekender festival in Settle on June 12th-13th , where they will be joined by an outstanding bill of like-minded bands and friends. They promise, "A very joyful weekend of music in one of the most beautiful places on God's green earth." Tickets for all shows are available HERE . Pre-save Fashion here . To celebrate the release, the band will play a headline London show at The Social on 9th March . Tickets are on sale from 6pm here . AFTERDRIVE are a band on the rise, locking into a sound that feels both fresh and inevitable. Their new song Fashion plays like a future classic - uptempo, modern, and confidently fusing their influences with standout performances. More than just another guitar band, AFTERDRIVE push beyond their roots, layering contemporary synths and electronics beneath vocalist Ben Watts' effortlessly cool delivery. Fashion plays out across late nights and chaotic encounters and a magnetic infatuation with someone who is volatile, exciting with the kind of presence that pulls you in even when you know it's bad for you. Beneath that rush, Fashion reveals something colder, exploring how love can feel hollow in the social-media age, where connection is easy, disposable, and often built on surface-level attraction rather than intimacy. AFTERDRIVE tap into the frustration of being physically close to someone while emotionally miles apart - a relationship full of tension, silence, and things left unsaid. Moody, impulsive, and painfully self-aware, Fashion, produced and mixed by Thomas Mitchener, captures a generation caught between wanting closeness and being seduced by image - where desire burns fast, but something real always seems just out of reach. AFTERDRIVE have a busy February and Spring ahead. Later this week, they join The Entitled Sons as support on their UK tour, and in April they support US superstar Maggie Lindemann on her UK and EU tour, kicking off in Dublin on 14th April. They also have a very special warm-up show to be announced soon in their hometown of Ipswich. Their recent sold-out local headline show at The Waterfront Studio on 31st January saw them debut Fashion live as well as be swarmed by fans at the end of the night for signings and meet and greets. Last year saw the band support Ed Sheeran at his Portman Road stadium show and most recently release their song Necklace in November. They received lots of support from BBC Radio 1 where Alyx Holcombe played it and said: " A band who is brand new to the show and I don't think I've ever fallen in love with a band as quick as this to be honest. Kinda giving me the Weeknd fused with the 1975 vibes". They also have had multiple plays by Jess Iszatt on her BBC Radio 1 show too. AFTERDRIVE were asked back for a second live session last year by their local BBC Introducing show hosted by Angelle Joseph, who has been a regular support. As well as on radio, the band have had support from the likes of Rolling Stone UK, Kerrang, The Independent and many other key tastemakers. AFTERDRIVE are Ben Watts (Vocals), Ed Ruff (Bass), Joe Watts (Drums) and Luke Ellis (Guitar). Fashion will be available on all major streaming platforms. Pre-save here . - IRON MAIDEN DELIVER FINAL PLANS FOR THEIR KNEBWORTH EXTRAVAGANZA,UNLEASHING THE FAN DRIVEN EDD FEST WEEKEND!
Photo credit: John McMurtrie THE ULTIMATE ONCE IN A LIFETIME CELEBRATION OF ALL THINGS IRON MAIDEN FOR THEIR 50TH ANNIVERSARY FRIDAY 10TH & SATURDAY 11TH JULY 2026 Last September when Iron Maiden announced their only UK show of 2026, on July 11th at Knebworth Park, they said they would be "turning it into as much of a 'Maiden World' as we can for all our fans to enjoy!" and true to form they are now able to announce the full details, revealing exactly what that means. Get ready for EDDFEST - a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience what constitutes Iron Maiden's idea of a fun-filled 48 hours of entertainment, themed areas and bars, experiences, live music and more. Inside EDDFEST fans will be able to explore the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience , a walk-through display of stage props and relics, inspired by Sunday Times Bestseller book Infinite Dreams . This is an unprecedented and completely unique opportunity to view Maiden relics up close and personal. Fans will also encounter Maidenville, where you will find the greatest Eddie's Dive Bar yet, a second stage for music and entertainment, the Unfair Funfair featuring rides and Eddie-themed Funfair Games, plus Eddie's Emporium and much more to explore throughout the site. Friday night campers will be able to gain early access to the site and experiences, including first access to the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience . There will also be a whole evening of entertainment planned on the Maidenville stage featuring a mix of special acts with a connection to Maiden. This is all topped off with the previously announced main stage on the Saturday, featuring an exceptional supporting line-up, ahead of Iron Maiden's show-stopping RUN FOR YOUR LIVES performance. Manager Rod Smallwood explains; " After the monumental shows in the UK last year, we knew that if we were going to play the UK in 2026 it had to be very different. So we chose Knebworth Park as it gives us the space required – which is just not available in stadiums – to put together something groundbreaking for our fans by creating a Maiden World for them. We are excited to now reveal the details of this one-off event to celebrate the band's 50 year career, which we are now calling EDDFEST, because, as everyone knows, Eddie is the true star of the show! We also know Maiden fans are basically a huge gang and we want to give them a weekend to remember at Knebworth. For the last couple of tours we have been arranging the Eddie Dive Bars for our fans, both pre- and post-show. Some of these took over the entire centres of towns with thousands of fans gathered there enjoying the fun, the music and each other's company. So EDDFEST is going to expand on that concept in a huge variety of ways, to create a truly unmissable Maiden World over the whole weekend! There will be a whole host of great music, great beer (of course!), lots of exciting and varied fun things to do, great souvenirs and merch, some unique and fantastic photo opportunities to create unbeatable Maiden memories, and of course, the true camaraderie that comes from being a Maiden fan." Kilimanjaro promoters Stuart Galbraith and Alan Day, the creators of Sonisphere, add, "Maiden have a different view on how they want to do things for their fans than most bands. We previously worked with them at Sonisphere and when they explained what they wanted to do for this show we were hooked. It will be a unique event. A celebration of the Eddie-verse if you will: a curated Friday afternoon, night and all day Saturday, finishing with the last UK show Maiden will play until at least 2028! "Creating something like that, which will include a once-in-a-lifetime Infinite Dreams museum experience, featuring a wide range of rarely-seen memorabilia from throughout their history, a Maiden-themed fun fair, the biggest Eddie's Dive Bar ever with some extra special additions and surprises, plus the ability to camp, glamp or park a motorhome on site for the Friday and Saturday night show in a specially created 'village' space with Maiden Alumni, friends and our perfect partners, Planet Rock – well it was a chance not to be missed!" The EDDFEST Festival starts from 2pm on Friday with camping included for both nights. Various parts of the Maidenville site will be open to weekend campers throughout Friday afternoon and into the early hours of Saturday morning, including the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience. Friday Night at Eddfest is all about fun before the big day. The campsite comes alive with direct access to the heart of Maidenville and the entertainment is a blend of bands and artists with connections to Maiden - some obscure, some as clear as daylight but they all have something in common and deserve to be a part of the opening night celebration. FRIDAY NIGHT ON THE MAIDENVILLE SECOND STAGE Featuring full sets from Stray Maiden United Airforce Tony Moore's Awake + Hair Metal Glamageddon Saturday sees the opening of the Main Arena, which includes Eddie's Extended Emporium, the Trooper VIP area and a range of interactive experiences. These will act as hors d'oeuvres for the curated Main Stage festival live bill, starting with back, better than ever British rockers THE ALMIGHTY. Australia's festival-ready AIRBOURNE follow, before the thrilling Mongolian metal of THE HU rings out across Knebworth's hallowed park. As we move into the evening THE DARKNESS will take to the stage for a barnstorming set before IRON MAIDEN deliver an historic performance – the ultimate communal experience between the band and their fans set in the heart of this one-off Maiden World. EDDFEST is going to be a truly exceptional weekend for each and every Maiden fan in attendance – an unforgettable chance to be part of a fully themed Festival experience, celebrating IRON MAIDEN's spectacular fifty year career... and the last chance to see them in the UK until at least 2028. - EMMY MELI'S NEW EP 'ALL ABOUT LOVE' IS OUT NOW
Focus Track - EGO It's Valentine's weekend and therefore the perfect time for Emmy Meli to unveil her brand new EP 'All About Love' . Now 400 million streams into a career which is still gaining momentum, she launches the EP alongside a video for its focus track 'Ego' . While love can be the fairytale of eternal romance, 'All About Love' delves into its deeper nuances: the love of family and friends, embracing self-love and empowerment, using love as a form of mutual spiritual respect that helps make our day-to-day lives so much richer. Produced by Swindle ( Ghetts , Kojey Radical , Celest e), this is Emmy's first entirely self-written project, and the 1999 book 'All About Love: New Visions' by bell hooks inspired her thinking. The EP is a reflection and an update of the book's philosophy. As bell hooks wrote, "When we see love as the will to nurture one's own, or another's spiritual growth, revealed through acts of care, respect, knowing, and assuming responsibility, the foundation of all love in our life is the same. There is no special love exclusively reserved for romantic partners." Emmy says, "This project is a sociological take on how our society affects the way we give and receive love and all of its forms. I truly feel that this is the most vulnerable I've ever been able to get and I feel kinda exposed. Swindle and I connect on such an amazing level when it comes to music, but also life. Every time we get together, we have these deep talks about spirituality and our world views. I was telling him everything that was going on in my crazy colourful messed up life, and we made this music as a way of healing and rewriting all those wounds; quite literally while I was scabbing them up." The EP's new focus track 'Ego' taps into the purity and freedom of love, and how it can hit when you least expect it. Directed by Marielle Boland , the accompanying video is a feast for the senses. Emmy Meli quite literally goes somewhere over the rainbow and takes her beguiling performance and vivid personality into a dazzling alternate fantasy world. Emmy adds, "'Ego' is a track that you want the DJ to play on reggaeton night or early 2000s throwbacks. It feels like sweating at the live music club, dancing like no one's watching, letting down your walls, and maybe finding a fun new boo while you're at it." 'Ego' joins the recent singles 'The Zoo' , 'OOH LA LA' and 'Other Things' on the 'All About Love' EP. It also introduces new tracks in the shape of the heavy duty R&B strut 'Heather' and the self-determined funk-soul grooves of 'Built From The Bullshit' , before closing on the supremely self-assured 'Glory'. Collectively it's a bite-sized soundtrack for empowerment, healing and love in all its forms. The 26-year-old Emmy Meli cites the likes of Sade , Victoria Monet , Amy Winehouse , Barbara Lewis and Minnie Riperton as inspirations - all artists from different generations and varied styles, but that are all united by remarkable voices and having something to say. Her biggest breakthrough so far came with 300 million+ streams and Platinum (US) and Silver (UK) certifications for her international chart hit 'I Am Woman' - a song that earned further discovery as the theme song for Meghan Markle's 'Archetypes' podcast. Emmy subsequently explored her artistry in depth with the 'Hello Stranger' EP before stepping into a new era with 'All About Love' . Emmy will follow the EP release by playing three special 'Evening With' shows - experiences with the intimacy of a group FaceTime with a performance that she compares to "seeing a fairy perform with pixie dust." Tickets for the shows, listed below, are available HERE . - MAE STEPHENS SWAPS THE SASS FOR THE SULTRY WITH THE NEW SINGLE 'BLUE'
MAE STEPHENS - 'BLUE' Mae Stephens finished 2025 by stepping into her confident era with the provocative 'Done With U' , and now the internationally Gold -certified artist's reinvention continues as she shares her new single 'Blue' . It comes ahead of her debut UK headline tour which starts next month. Mae Stephens' rise has been led by larger-than-life, big-voiced pop anthems. But with 'Blue' she introduces a different side to herself, one that swaps the sass for the sultry. It's a song that melds retro Motown -ish grooves with enough of a contemporary edge to give that traditional sound a dose of unpredictability. As we have come to expect, Mae's voice is the headline act - one that would have been just as irresistible in 1966 as it is in 2026 - and as the title indicates, she certainly doesn't shy away from confronting heartbreak head-on. Mae says, "Blue simply started with an intro. Something I don't really hear as much anymore. I wanted to create a story with this song walking through what it's like to cross a 'blue line'. To me a 'blue line' is the line to cross when there is no other option but to call it quits. I wanted to create something that doesn't represent an angry breakup but a pattern of disappointment and frustration that leads to the final cut off point. I think this song follows very well from my previous release 'Done With U' as they sit in the same bracket of cutting someone off/out of your life, just simply in a more pleasant, less aggressive way." The video uses dramatic choreography as a metaphor for the song's meaning: the two dancers instinctively drawn together but ultimately forced apart like repelling magnets. Its class is further heightened by Mae's mesmerising performance and its moody, blue-filter aesthetic. It was directed by Willow Hazell . Watch the official video HERE. 'Blue' was written by Mae Stephens with the track's producers, Morgan Avenue ( Mae's collaborator on the mega smash 'If We Ever Broke Up' ) and Jheynner ( ANOTR , Yendry ). Last year Mae Stephens put her focus on identifying her long-term artistic identity. She has already achieved so much - rapidly going from a job in ASDA to landing a global hit with ' If We Ever Broke Up' . Just how often do you see an almost unknown artist hit #1 in Japan and China , go Top 15 in the UK , and earn Gold -certifications in both the UK and US . A total of 400 million streams to date is evidence of its international impact. Collabs with Meghan Trainor , The Chainsmokers and Alok all followed, as well as big shows with BLACKPINK, P!NK and Tom Grennan . But there was more to come from Mae , including her debut EP 'Securely Insecure' - and 2026 looks set to be a landmark year for her future. Next month will see Mae Stephens continue to push forwards with her debut UK headline tour - an opportunity to take that big stage experience into intimate venues and connect with fans in person. Arranged with Pure and Music Venue Trust , tickets for the dates, listed below, are available HERE . MARCH 18th - Norwich, Arts Centre 19th - Sheffield, Sidney and Matilda 21st - Edinburgh, Sneaky Pete's 22nd - Newcastle, The Cluny 24th - Nottingham, Bodega Social Club 25th - Birkenhead, Future Yard 27th - Cardiff, Clwb Ifor Bach 28th - Bristol, The Louisiana 29th - Tunbridge Wells, The Forum 31st - Bedford, Esquires APRIL 1st - London, The Lower Third Follow Mae Stephens: SPOTIFY | APPLE MUSIC | YOUTUBE | TIKTOK | INSTAGRAM

- ANOTHER YEAR OLDER by Larry Fleet - Album Review
Review By Lauren Page / LiveWithLP There is no storytelling country talent quite like Larry Fleet. With three incredible albums already under his belt, Fleet has long proven himself as one of the genre’s most reliable and heartfelt voices. So when he announced his fourth studio album, Another Year Older, it felt fair to question whether it would be possible to raise the bar yet again. Somehow, against already high expectations, he’s done exactly that. From the moment American Made landed as the album’s first single, it was clear this record would be rooted in everything Larry Fleet does best. The track is a soul-driven anthem that proudly celebrates the values that sit at the core of Fleet’s identity: hard work, family, humility, and appreciating the victories, whether they are big or small, which comes with staying grounded. It’s honest, it’s warm, and it sets the tone perfectly for what follows. There’s a familiarity to the sound, but it never feels repetitive; instead, it feels timeless. That true-to-his-word quality is a thread that runs through every Larry Fleet record, and Another Year Older is no exception. The album consists of 11 tracks, including the previously released singles American Made and Both Sides of the Fence, both of which received rave reviews across streaming platforms and socials. Both Sides of the Fence, in particular, stands out as a thoughtful reflection on perspective and personal growth - an idea that mirrors the album’s title and overarching themes. Fleet doesn’t just sing about getting older; he sings about becoming wiser, more reflective, and more appreciative of where he’s been and where he’s going. Opening the record with More of That, Baseball on the Radio, and Hotel Bible, listeners are immediately invited into Fleet’s world, which is a place built on blue-collar pride, quiet moments, and deeply personal storytelling. These tracks feel lived-in, like snapshots pulled straight from real memories rather than songs written to fit a formula. It’s in moments like these that Fleet truly shines, proving once again that his strength lies in making the ordinary feel extraordinary. One of my all-time favourite Larry Fleet songs, Baby You Do from his 2019 debut album Workin’ Hard, showed a slightly different side to his sound, which is more upbeat, a little dancier, but still firmly rooted in his traditional country foundation. That same energy resurfaces on Another Year Older through tracks like If These Walls Could Talk, Whole Lotta Little Things, and Drunk Advice. These songs strike a perfect balance between fun and feeling, making you want to step straight into a honky-tonk, let the band take over, and get swept across the dancefloor without a second thought (ok, that’s my dream), but the realism Fleet creates, sometimes within just a single verse, is nothing short of magic! What truly sets Another Year Older apart is its cohesion. There’s a natural flow from song to song, not just in sound but in emotion. Themes of love, loss, reflection, celebration, and acceptance intertwine seamlessly, making the album feel like one continuous journey rather than a collection of individual tracks. Whether it’s the slower, more introspective moments or the upbeat, foot-tapping anthems, every song has a place and a purpose. There’s something here for every mood and every listener. Ultimately, Another Year Older feels like the most complete version of Larry Fleet yet. It’s confident without being flashy, emotional without being overdone, and deeply personal while still universally relatable. It’s the sound of an artist who knows exactly who he is and isn’t afraid to lean into it. With this release, Larry Fleet hasn’t just matched his previous work; he’s solidified his place as one of country music’s most genuine and compelling storytellers. Another Year Older is out February 13th.
