At just 19 years old, Waylon Wyatt has already captured the attention of the country music world and amassed fans across the globe. After visiting Europe last summer for a mini-tour alongside Zach Bryan at Hyde Park, Wyatt is heading back across the pond for a string of C2C appearances, including the mammoth three-day event across Belfast, London and Glasgow. I caught up with him to talk about international crowds, collaborations and what 2026 holds for the breakout star.
Waylon! It’s so good to have you back over here. How does it feel prepping to return to the UK?
I'm feeling great and really looking forward to it. I had such a good time last time I was over there in the summer, and I know it's going to be the same this time around.
Last time you were over here, you did a variety of shows - headline gigs, festivals and even a C2C stint previously - do you notice a shift in the country music fans each time you’re here?
Honestly, I never would have guessed that there was such a big country scene over here. Traditional countries in Europe seemed so wild to me. The music I was raised on and where I’m from, hearing that over here and being a part of bringing that over to Europe is such an amazing feeling.
I actually caught you on the Rainbow Stage at Hyde Park last summer, and you were incredible. I have to say, and please take this in, you drew in a crowd which could rival the mainstage. I know on stage you can only see the tops of people's heads, but knowing that the crowd went all the way back to capacity, you deserve to be on the main stage.

Wow, I don’t know about that, but thank you, ma’am. It was definitely a great experience, and I’m looking forward to feeling that all over again and sharing that with a band who will be joining me this time.
That’s exciting! So, having the band for C2C - does that bring a new dimension to the show?
Oh, 100% - usually you get on stage and do your songs, and this time I have people there with me - but the benefit is that I'm not the only one who can mess up now, haha. But seriously, it's great to have people on stage I can jam with. We can go back-to-back and have such a fun time. It's definitely more fun to have people on stage with you and to entertain each other.
I can’t wait to catch you guys! The Hydro in Glasgow, where C2C takes place, is such a great venue, and an upgraded stage for you this time - the main stage.
Yeah! It’s insane to be on the main stage of an arena in Scotland like I never would have guessed that would happen, I’m looking forward to it, but I have no clue what is in store so I am a little scared - but I think that's the best way to be - everything is a surprise, see what happens and have fun.
It’s been a huge few weeks for you - what I’ve been calling 'Wyatt Squared' with your collaboration alongside Wyatt Flores. How does it feel to release a track that’s breaking the hearts of country fans everywhere?
Oh, it’s breaking my heart as well. I mean, that song is insane. Wyatt was the very first person I ever saw in concert. I was never raised on live music, as we couldn’t really afford it, since both my parents were working. Wyatt’s agent reached out and gave us tickets to attend. We went to see him in Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and that was my first experience with live music, and it was absolutely amazing. Evan Honer and Kat Hasty opened for him. But when Wyatt came on stage? I LOST IT. I knew every single lyric to the bone. To this day, it is still my favourite live music experience. Even with so many concerts now under my belt, it's so amazing.
And here you are, collaborating on a track together, just taking over the country scene.
Yes, Ma’am, a full circle moment for sure!
That’s something I love about your music: the difference in collabs you have done. From Bayker Blankenship to Willow Avalon. Why on earth did the schedule have you and Willow playing separate stages at Hyde Park at the same time?! We wanted a live Smoke & Embers.
Oh, I know! But she absolutely killed it up there. I was so, so proud to see her do her thing and also to catch Gabrielle Aplin and Turnpike Troubadours, which was so sick!
It was a great mix of artists, and one collab in particular that I want to thank you for is a duet you did for Smoke & Embers here in Glasgow last summer, when you asked a local singer called Chirsty Harkins to join you on stage. Funnily enough, Chirsty started working in my office a week prior, and we became friends over our love for your music, and she messaged to say she sang on stage with you, and we’ve been friends ever since - so thank you!
That is amazing! She absolutely killed it by the way, that was so good - she has an incredible voice - and it's always great to collaborate with people and see their covers online, she's brilliant.
We’re only in March, and you’re absolutely entertaining us already, Waylon, from your TikToks to releases. But what does 2026 hold for Waylon Wyatt?
Oh, what doesn't it hold?! We have our Everywhere Under the Sun tour, which I’m really looking forward to. There might be some special addition to that as to why everywhere under the sun is special to me, but I don’t know if I can speak on that just yet, so I’m going to leave that a little vague. But definitely bigger works to come! We’ve been working hard to further the discography and to put more music out. Didn’t Forget with Wyatt Flores was probably one of the biggest to date, and also a full-circle moment for me.
Especially this tour, I’m visiting places I never thought I’d be able to even see in my lifetime, especially Europe. I genuinely never thought I’d have the chance to visit Europe, never mind play in it, so I cannot wait to see what the year holds. I love Europe.
Well, Europe loves you! And please know, if you ever announce a European tour, we will snap those tickets up.
Oh, I have no doubt, there are so many country fans over your way, I love it!
Do you find a difference between the fans in the US and Canada compared to over the pond?
Sometimes they can be quite similar, like some can be super super rowdy and some can be tame and respectful; people have been very welcoming and allowed me to play in front of them and listened to what I have to say, so I have loved every second of that.

Anyone aiming to catch you at C2C over the next few weeks, what can they expect from a Waylon Wyatt show?
Well, I’m certainly going to be playing live music, even stuff I haven’t released to the public yet - I don’t think I’ve even teased it either! Also, having a full band with me is going to be a whole new trajectory. With a full band behind me, there's nothing we can't do, and I love that.
My final question to you, and something I like to ask every artist I speak to. Who is someone you’re listening to at the moment that deserves a shoutout, or is someone that maybe hasn’t made their name as well-known over the pond just yet?
I made friends in Australia with a buddy called Lewis Love. His music is amazing, a grunge kind of song, but he has an amazing sound and an incredible song writing skillset. I would love to collaborate with him sometime, he was my very first outlook on Australian artists out there besides Vance Joy and Keith Urban. But Lewis is someone who should be on your radar.
Waylon Wyatt appears at C2C Glasgow, Belfast and London next weekend, 13th - 15th March.
