East London's celebrated festival All Points East has today revealed the stacked full line-up for Friday 21 August, headlined by BRIT Award winner Jorja Smith and two-time GRAMMY winner Tems. Curated in collaboration with Jorja Smith and her label FAMM, the final wave of additions includes Maverick Sabre, Katy B, Bricknasty, Crazy Cousinz, Keyrah, Common Saints, Demae, Konyikeh, Mychelle, Olympia Vitalis, Shivani Day, Jael, Tyler Lewis, Kels, and XO. Having wrapped up a solo show at The Lower Third, Konyikeh is readily bringing her style to All Points East. Although an industry newcomer, Shivani Day's introspective R&B is a sound that has pinpointed her as a South Asian star. Review by LiveWithLP | Lauren Page Luke Combs took over Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium for 2 nights this weekend Sometimes there are shows that you go along to review, and then there are the ones that take a good 24 hours to fully process what you've just witnessed. Luke Combs' double-header at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium is right up there with one of the best concerts I've not only had the chance to review, but one of the best live experiences I've ever had. Having been lucky enough to attend both nights, it's almost impossible to separate them. Instead, they merge into one unforgettable weekend filled with incredible music, outstanding performances and a celebration of country music that Scotland has well and truly embraced. When this tour was first announced, tickets disappeared almost instantly, prompting the addition of a second Murrayfield date on the Friday. If anyone still needed convincing that country music is thriving in Scotland, this weekend settled that debate once and for all. More than 130,000 fans pulled on their cowboy boots, dusted off their hats and descended on Scotland's capital for what felt like country music's biggest ever weekend north of the border. What I loved most was that it wasn't simply "The Luke Combs Show". The entire line-up had been carefully put together, showcasing some of the most exciting names in country, blues and Americana. Opening the show were Georgia sisters The Castellows, whose effortless harmonies immediately won over the early arrivals. There's something really refreshing about seeing an act so comfortable on a stage of this size, and they were the perfect way to ease everyone into what was shaping up to be a marathon day of live music. It’s been over a year since they last came to Scotland for C2C, but after this performance.. I’m hoping a headline tour isn’t out of reach. Then came Ty Myers, and honestly, I don't think enough people are talking about just how ridiculously talented this 19-year-old is. His voice has a maturity far beyond his years, and he has that effortless confidence that can't really be taught. Mixing original songs with carefully chosen covers was a smart move too. His take on Tyler Childers' Feathered Indians had fans singing every word, while his recently released version of Amy Winehouse's Valerie proved he's not afraid to put his own spin on a classic. If this is where Ty Myers is at 19, the future is incredibly exciting. Australia's The Teskey Brothers followed, and if there was one band that deserved to leave Murrayfield with thousands of new fans, it was them. Their soulful blues-rock sound might not have been the obvious fit on a country bill, but they absolutely owned it. Josh Teskey's vocals are something else live, and their musicianship was faultless from start to finish. Hopefully Scotland won't have to wait too long before welcoming them back for a headline tour of their own. I've been fortunate enough to see Luke Combs before, catching him at Glasgow's OVO Hydro back in 2022 and even earlier that year for my first ever country concert, when he headlined C2C Festival. That felt like a huge moment then, but this? This was on another level entirely. Walking out to deafening cheers, guitar strapped on and baseball cap firmly in place, Luke didn't need an elaborate entrance or over-the-top theatrics. Within minutes, he reminded everyone exactly why he's become one of the biggest names in country music. There aren't many artists who can stand in front of over 65,000 people with little more than a guitar and completely command every single person in the stadium, but Luke Combs makes it look effortless. Yes, the production has grown massively since the Hydro days. Giant LED screens, walls of pyro, perfectly timed flames and fireworks erupting into the Edinburgh skyline all added to the spectacle, but none of it ever distracted from what people had come to see. The songs always remained front and centre. And what a catalogue of songs he's built - with several albums under his belt, choosing the setlist was always going to be a task. Friday managed to get the likes of Houston, We Have a Problem, whilst Saturday sobbed to Miss You Here from the newest release and Five Leaf Clover, mirroring the Irish setlist. Across both nights, it didn't matter whether Luke was delivering emotional ballads that had fans with their phone lights swaying in the air or the full-throttle anthems that turned Murrayfield into one enormous singalong, the energy never dipped. Looking around the stadium, there were generations of fans all sharing the same experience. Families, couples, lifelong country fans and people clearly attending their first country show all singing every word together. That's something pretty special. One thing Luke has always done brilliantly is make a huge venue feel surprisingly intimate. Between songs he'd chat away to the crowd, laugh with fans in the front rows, take in the sea of cowboy hats stretched across Murrayfield and genuinely look like he was having the time of his life. Nothing ever felt rehearsed or forced. It felt like a bloke who still can't quite believe he's playing stadiums. Of course, one of the biggest talking points across both nights came during his beer-shotgunning tradition. Friday welcomed Glasgow Warriors stars Zander and Matt Fagerson onto the stage, with the pair receiving a massive reception from the home crowd before cracking open a beer alongside Luke. Saturday somehow raised the bar again as Scotland and Aston Villa captain John McGinn joined the fun, alongside one very special guest - Luke's own mum. It was one of those moments that perfectly summed up the atmosphere across the weekend: relaxed, funny and brilliantly unfiltered. As I left Murrayfield on Saturday night, one thought kept coming back to me. Four years ago I watched Luke Combs pack out the Hydro. Fast forward to 2026 and here he is selling out Scotland's national stadium across two nights with a production worthy of any global superstar, yet somehow still feeling like the same down-to-earth guy fans connected with all those years ago. I've been lucky enough to attend some incredible concerts over the years, but this weekend genuinely sits right at the very top. Luke Combs didn't just play Murrayfield - he owned every inch of it. If this is what stadium country looks like in 2026, then long may it continue. Scotland is ready for more, and after witnessing these two unforgettable nights, I don't think Luke Combs will leave it too long before he's back.

Written by Lauren Page | @LiveWithLP Ty Myers backstage at Murrayfield in Edinburgh ahead of a double night with Luke Combs Every time I interview Ty Myers, something huge seems to happen afterwards. The first time we sat down, he was days away from becoming the youngest artist to ever play C2C Festival. Fast forward a few months and he's dropped his album, clocked up over a billion streams, put his own soulful spin on Amy Winehouse's Valerie and found himself opening stadiums across Europe for Luke Combs. So naturally, standing backstage at Murrayfield ahead of two sold-out nights in Edinburgh, I reminded him that I'm clearly his lucky charm. "I think so too," he laughs. "Every time I see you something big happens." I'll take that. Jokes aside, it's been pretty incredible watching Myers' rise over the last year. What's even more impressive is that, despite everything happening at lightning speed, he's still exactly the same guy I met earlier this year - humble, grateful and completely obsessed with music, in the best and most passionate way possible. "We've been having a blast," he tells me. "The venues, the places we've been.. it's just amazing. It's a blessing to do what we do for a living and have this lifestyle. We're taking every day as it comes." Considering we're chatting underneath Scotland's biggest stadium, you'd expect the conversation to revolve around the sheer size of the crowds. Instead, Myers is far more interested in talking about the people around him. "I've been on tours before, but without a doubt this has been the best we've been treated," he says. "Luke's whole crew have been incredible. I haven't met one bad person on this whole tour. It just shows he runs a great ship." That's something you hear a lot about Luke Combs, and hearing Ty bring it up without any prompting probably tells you everything you need to know. The venues might have got bigger, but his approach hasn't really changed. "The smaller the venue, the less work you have to do to find the energy," he explains. When the venues get bigger, it almost feels like you've got to earn the attention of the crowd." It's a mindset that takes him straight back to his early days playing breweries around Texas. "Nobody had come to hear music," he laughs. "They'd come for a drink. I had to make them listen. That's what made me fall in love with music." Honestly, that probably explains why he looks so comfortable walking out in front of 70,000 people. Whether it's a brewery or Murrayfield, it's still about winning people over one song at a time. Away from the tour, Myers has also been working on something that's clearly close to his heart - a Willie Nelson tribute project. The idea came to him, as he puts it, while driving down the road. "I thought, 'Why on earth does Willie Nelson not have a tribute album?' Then my next thought was, 'Why am I not the one making it?'". Simple as that. Recording it took him right back to the music he grew up listening to with his dad, but there were certain songs he refused to touch. "There are some songs that are just perfect," he says. "Some songs you just shouldn't touch." That respect for musical legends is something that runs right through Myers' music, and it's exactly why his recent cover of Amy Winehouse's Valerie feels so authentic rather than just another cover. "We knew we had the UK and European tour coming up," he says. "What better way to win over the hearts of people here than with Amy Winehouse?" Judging by the reaction it's getting every night, I'd say it worked. Even with his own career taking off, Myers is still the sort of artist who's constantly shouting about other musicians. When I ask who people should be listening to, he barely hesitates. First up is Benny G, who's been touring alongside him. "He's just ridiculously talented. One of those voices where if you hear him, you're going to follow it." His second pick is UK singer-songwriter Skye Newman. "I've been listening to her endlessly. She has such a cool sound." I couldn't let him go without asking the question every UK fan is thinking. When are we finally getting headline shows over here? He smiles, "They're in the works. We'll do it." If the last few months have taught us anything, it's not to bet against Ty Myers. Every time we catch up, another box has been ticked off the list. Something tells me the next conversation might just be backstage before those long-awaited UK headline shows. Mark Chadwick - "Imagine, but not so hard because it's a true and real adventure, you're visiting a small vibrant town with a river that slowly drifts through hills with buildings ancient and modern. It's been there for a very, very long time but this is your first time. All you have to navigate this place is a pair of headphones and this recording." So says Mark Chadwick, singer, songwriter, lyricist, activist and most commonly known as lead singer of the acclaimed Levellers, of his new solo album, Ouse Dragon. It's a dreamlike and, at times, disorientating collection of six musical pieces that inhabit a leftfield sonic world of electronic soundscapes and ambient textures. Atmospheric and ghostly, it features Mark's story-telling vocals drawing the listener along over strummed acoustic guitars, drifting keyboards, keening noises and other-worldly instrumentation that is punctuated by bursts of percussion. Showcasing a very different musical side to Mark from his work with Levellers, the tracks were originally performed in concert last year in Lewes, where the Ouse Dragon tales originate, both ancient and modern. He describes it as a town, "in the forgotten parts of the South of England, its more famous or infamous neighbours cast a shadow, a shadow that fades and pleads for escape when cast upon this odd corner." The album opens with the eerie title track 'Ouse Dragon', stretching to almost nine minutes, evoking a strange and chilling mood of magic that permeates the South Downs. 'Chrysanthemums & Diadems' follows, a powerful and affecting song, woozy and dramatic, about a local murder which wrongfoots the listeners with an unexpected interruption from the local police. 'Dance Of The Crows' moves into a dreamlike acoustic countryside, while 'Leap' is perhaps the most conventional song, its sweet melodic nature offset by its lyrics of sadness. 'Bearing Witness' meanwhile has an insistent folk thrum before the epic closing track 'Paxos Room' takes the listener on a journey into the deepest recesses of their dark imaginations. "All of the stories herein are true," Mark explains. "Murder, abduction, mis-adventures, suicide, possession, spirits and other dimensions. Unknowable but all experienced by the writer. The official slogan of the state of Ohio is “The Heart of it All,” which is as much a statement of hard geographic fact as it is romantic self-regard. If you’re east of the Mississippi and looking to get from whatever here to whichever there, you’ll likely have to reckon with Ohio's crucial collection of arteries. Two of them pass through the middle, through the heart of the heart: here, bisected by interstates 70 and 71, lies the ever-modest metropolis of Columbus. Here is the hometown of the mighty Golomb. Formed in 2020 by high-school sweethearts Mickey (guitar/vocals) and Xenia (bass/vocals) along with Xenia’s astonishing kid-brother-drummer Hawken, Golomb's jagged, churning, relentlessly melodic noise-rock - like the Vaselines fronting Unwound - hit the local scene like a brick of bottle rockets. Playing venues the front-couple had only recently become old enough to drink in (and having to make special allowances for the then-underage Hawken), they soon established themselves as the Buckeye State’s most exciting trio since, depending, perhaps, on your own age, Times New Viking or fIREHOSE (who were, after all, only one-third from Ohio). After a self-released debut, they turned out a second full-length, The Beat Goes On, and an EP of remixes - featuring contributions by both Sonic Boom and Laraaji - for Philadelphia's stalwart No Quarter label.Their forthcoming full-length will be their first for Third Man; also, like their home state, full of heart and damn near as crucial to reckon with.The band will head to the UK and EU next month for a string of dates in support of the signing. New events have been announced celebrating David Bowie at Lightroom in King’s Cross, including live music and a root through his record collection with the man who knew him best. The events run alongside Lightroom’s acclaimed immersive show David Bowie: You’re Not Alone, which is showing daily until October, with evening screenings now extended until January. A special day of celebration is planned for 8th January, which would have been Bowie’s 80th birthday. Renowned cellist and composer Peter Gregson will offer his take on Bowie’s Berlin period with a series of unique concerts, while Bowie Nights takes over the opening night of King’s Cross Summer Sounds, with an explosive secret headliner and special performances from Ashaine White, Jack Kaye (formerly of The Magic Gang). In partnership with Pitch Black Playback, the albums The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Let’s Dance and Earthling each get unique listening parties using Lightroom’s spatial audio system in complete darkness. Bowie’s friend and collaborator Geoff MacCormack will launch his new book with co-author Jérôme Soligny, David Bowie Music Lover, in which he explores the star’s record collection. MacCormack’s daughter, Iraina Mancini, will be DJing on 31 July as part of the Bowie Lates screenings, which run on the last Friday of every month. Lightroom chief executive Richard Slaney said: "Celebrating the multifaceted nature of art and artists is one of Lightroom's central missions - that's what these Bowie Nights are aiming to do. Peter Gregson On 3rd September (7pm and 9pm), 4th September (7pm and 9pm) and 5th September (7pm and 9pm), a unique concert series will see acclaimed composer and cellist Peter Gregson offer a creative response to the work of David Bowie, Brian Eno and their contemporaries in the Berlin era. Bespoke new visuals will be crafted from David Bowie: You’re Not Alone, alongside live camera work, which will offer an intimate and immersive concert experience. Alongside striking visuals, Lightroom's powerful Holoplot spatial audio system presents a sonic canvas for a one-of-a-kind musical experience with sound design by Brett Cox. Gregson will play a programme featuring a mesmeric, newly arranged version of Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint for the electric cello; Brian Eno’s Music for Airports; and Gregson’s own recomposed Bach Prelude, alongside newly composed pieces. In addition, he will perform a Bowie covers section, unique to every show. Bowie Nights x Pitch Black Playback Pitchblack Playback will host some of their album listening sessions in the dark for three iconic Bowie albums: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (28th July, 7pm), Let’s Dance (4th Aug, 7pm) and Earthling (11th Aug, 7pm) - marking the release of new mixes for each. King’s Cross Summer Sounds On 13th August, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, Bowie Nights will launch King’s Cross Summer Sounds in Coal Drops Yard with Ashaine White, Jack Kaye (formerly The Magic Gang) and a surprise headliner. A free-to-attend outdoor concert right next to Lightroom, it will be a celebration of Bowie's impact on music today, with each act including a Bowie cover in their set. Ashaine White fuses raw vulnerability with bold creativity, blending alternative rock with soulful vocal delivery and emotive lyricism — drawing comparisons to PJ Harvey and Jeff Buckley, while forging something entirely her own. Jack Kaye has returned six years on from the Magic Gang with acclaimed recent single Dora - expect more new music this year from a classic indie songwriter. David Bowie Music Lover On 25th September, Bowie’s former publicist, Alan Edwards, will interview the artist’s friend and collaborator, Geoff MacCormack, and co-author Jérôme Soligny about their new book, David Bowie Music Lover. The book digs into the depths of Bowie’s inspirations through an exploration of his own record collection. Also discussed will be Heritage of London Trust’s project to restore Bowie’s childhood home at 4 Plaistow Grove - a home that MacCormack knew well in his childhood. Bowie Nights The events continue Lightroom’s Bowie Nights season, which includes Bowie Nights: Adam Buxton presents BUG Bowie Special on 2nd, 3rd and 4th July. Award-winning multidisciplinary recording artist Lexie Liu teams up with K-pop sensation Yves to redefine what it means to be a ‘pop girl’. Launching the remix “Pop Girl (with Yves)” from her upcoming EP Pop Girls Club (22 July), Lexie Liu encourages listeners to embrace our “different backgrounds” in true pop girl style. “It’s about not fitting into one definition of pop femininity, but showing how many different versions of it can exist,” she says. Together, the duo bring a collaborative and introspective lens to the project. Photo Credit @photographicgeniusoffical [Wednesday, July 22] Fans of indie icons Razorlight were treated to renditions of classic tunes as they’ve never heard them before as Johnny Borrell and Andy Burrows played a surprise intimate show in central London. Gavin & Stacey creator and Hollywood star James Corden was among the select few at Stereo, in Covent Garden, treated to acoustic versions of classic tracks and the stories behind them. The show came after the band released the demo version of their No.1 hit ‘America’, titled ‘Lost In America’, as the classic self-titled second album, Razorlight, hits its 20th anniversary. Tickets are on sale now for the celebratory UK tour in November. After Borrell and Burrows found huge success with the musical partnership that spawned Razorlight, they fell out and were estranged for more than a decade. But after a successful reunion in 2021, the pair took to the stage on Wednesday to tell the true stories behind some of the band’s greatest hits. The initial spark for the No.1 smash ‘America’ was the drum rhythm to Billy Joel’s ‘Moving Out’. Borrell said: “I sat down and said, ’Why don't we just write a song with a drop beat like that, but minus the trumpet?’ You looked at me like, "Well, we could, but you wouldn't like it.’" The song developed into the recently released ‘Lost In America’ and Borrell said: “My plan, which Andy probably didn't like, was based on when Prince wrote ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ and no one knew it was a Prince song until it became this big hit (for Sinéad O’Connor). I was like: Wouldn't it be so cool if we wrote this song and found some amazing artist to do it?” The song was pitched around by publishers but nothing happened. “There was a guy called Tony McMichael or something like that based in Nashville. Apparently, he tried it and didn't like it,” said Borrell. “Six months later, we still had this song. Don't get me wrong, I loved the song. I was living in the rehearsal studio at the time, and I had written this riff years ago. I think it was the first riff I ever wrote - for a really bad song about northeastern England when I was away on a very long camping holiday when I was 13. I never used guitar pedals, but I looked at this pedal on the floor and thought, ‘You know, I could put that with the 'Lost in America' song and see what happens.’” The pair developed the song from there and it became their biggest hit. After ‘Los Angeles Waltz’, Borrell said: “We could write a song back then before we knew how to do anything else…we were in our 20s and I don't think I could even tie my shoelaces back then.
