Photo Credit @khaliphotography Saturday 22nd August: One of the most highly anticipated days in All Points East history saw Lorde take to the East Stage, topping a line-up of some of the hottest acts on the planet. Beginning with a snippet of her breakthrough hit, 'Royals', two-time Grammy and BRIT Award-winner Lorde brought a curated set with lasers, dancers and a powerful performance that stunned the audience. Lorde said: "How are we doing, Victoria park? We okay? Now, the last time I was in Victoria park was two years ago. It was the beginning of summer and I came here with someone I had a big crush on." She added: "Bring your crush to Victoria Park. There's magic here." The set was packed with hits like 'Supercut' and 'Team', and for Lorde it was a big day. She played the first edition of All Points East in 2018, aged just 21. Lorde curated the incredible bill of support acts at the 2026 edition. "I kept saying: Could we add this person? Could I add this person? This is the best lineup I've ever been part of," she said. Beaming lights reflected off her suit at the end of 'Man Of The Year', before diving into 'Girl So Confusing' and the then deep house beats of 'Green Lights', growing and growing into a massive dancefloor anthem. "This is a song I wrote about trying to find my power," she said before a stripped back 'David' and a massive banner was passed back across the crowd reading: "I don't belong to anyone." "We have one song left for you tonight. This is the oldest, most precious song we have," she said as the evening drew to a close with 'Ribs'. Earlier, Djo was given a hero's welcome as he closed the West Stage with hits from his acclaimed 2025 album, The Crux, including 'Delete Ya' and 'Basic Being Basic'. He prowled the stage, drawing fans in to join him for every word. "How you feeling? We are so lucky to be with you. You'll sing it with me?" Djo said, before giving a shout out to his Stranger Things co-star Charlie Heaton, who watched from the crowd. BRIT Award-winner PinkPantheress provided one of the hotly anticipated sets of the day when she headlined the North Arena, telling the crowd: "Thank you so much for coming to my set. I've never done All Points East - it's such a legendary festival. I went when I was like 19. All Points East is a vibe!" The cheers from the crowd reached record levels for Zara Larsson, who took to the stage for 'Midnight Sun', before spotting a face in the crowd: "I think I saw your TikTok? What were you doing running for the barricade?" Another familiar face was PinkPantheress for a debut live duet: "You guys are watching HERstory being made right now. Cause something that's never happened before, and it's happening right now, the first ever live performance of 'Stateside' with PinkPantheress." Toward the end of her performance, 'Shadows' saw a surprise appearance from British singer-songwriter and producer MNEK, while mega-hits 'Lush Life' and 'Symphony' provided highlights, before a reprise of 'Midnight Sun' closed the set. Over on the North Arena, American rapper and singer 2hollis played to a packed tent, commanding the crowd: "I like your energy. Ya'll over here, that's how you do it. Take some notes." The unique voice of London born-singer songwriter Sienna Spiro wowed on the West Stage with breakout hit 'Die On This Hill' and fan favourite 'Material Lover'. French, alternative-electronic artist Oklou name checked London producer AG Cook: "He wrote the lyrics for one of my songs, and I love it so much that we're gonna play it for you." Online sensation Erin LeCount was a standout on the West Stage. In a candid moment, she addressed the crowd: "This is my dream festival lineup. I love you. this next song I wrote about the feeling of grief and about the feeling of doing something more with your life and dealing with imposter syndrome" Among the crowd for the biggest festival lineup of the summer were stars including Millie Bobby Brown, Jake Bongiovi, Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson and Louis Partridge. Saturday 22nd August: All Points East experienced triumphant sets from two global powerhouses as co-headliners: Jorja Smith and Tems. Curated by Jorja Smith and her label FAMM in collaboration with All Points East, the line-up also featured kwn, Nia Archives, Ayra Starr, and Odeal, with Tems performing as the penultimate act before BRIT Award-winning British icon Jorja Smith closed the night. The West Midlands superstar and Grammy nominee dazzled the 45,000 strong crowd with a set full of R&B bangers and special guests. Odeal, who had performed earlier on at the festival, joined for 'Coming Home' while Kyla's appearance on 'I Lied, You Lied' sent the crowd wild. West Stage headliner Nia Archives joined for several tracks, including 'Crush', which also saw London rap sensation AJ Tracey make a rapturous entrance. After a clip of Jorja singing Katy B as a schoolgirl, it was time for Katy to grace Jorja's stage for her hit 'Katy On a Mission', before 'Loose Ends' drew a huge reception, with Mercury and Brit nominee Loyle Carner joining onstage. In the build up to the headline set, two-time Grammy Award-winning British Nigerian star Tems appeared at the top of the stage through a cloud of smoke as she kicked into 'Crazy Tings', the crowd singing every word. Hits including 'What You Need' and 'Essence' followed before Dave was summoned to the stage for a special guest appearance for 'Raindance'. Producer and DJ Nia Archives took to the stage fresh from a new hit album, Emotional Junglist, which has earned her a Mercury Prize nomination. The star, who was born in Yorkshire but moved to nearby Hackney Wick to hone her trade, took a massive West Stage crowd in her stride: "Yes, yes All Points East. What we saying." Introducing her 2024 banger 'Cards On The Table', she said: "This song is about having a crush and putting all your cards on the table."For the introspective 'Tender', during which the singer's brother was brought out onstage ("Nia Archives: "Love you, love you."), she ended on a high, telling the East London audience, "I'm gonna take you to Brazil', before closing with 'Baianá'. Two-time GRAMMY-nominated global Afro-pop superstar Ayra Starr made her hotly anticipated return to the UK stage at All Points East with her biggest and most polished show yet. Strutting onto the heaving North Arena in a bedazzled metallic bra and matching micro mini skirt, armed with a troupe of sexy male dancers; Ayra exclusively performed several new tracks from her latest album "Starrgirl" for the first time. The album's multi-million-streaming hit singles 'Hot Body', 'Who's Dat Girl', 'Tornado' and the GRAMMY-nominated smash 'Gimme Dat' got the sweaty crowd wining, while her signature anthems 'Rush', 'Sability', 'Commas' and 'Bloody Samaritan' rocked the packed-out tent with thunderous sing-alongs from the audience. Odeal, speaking about his Wizkid collaboration 'Nights In the Sun', said: "This one's special, because can you imagine listening to someone your whole life and you turn 25 and you get to work with him?" One of the newcomers on the bill, heading for a major breakthrough, were British pop stars XO, who had a special track for the audience: "Okay, so this next song is called Hotline. Review by Lauren Page | @LiveWithLP When I sat down with Anna Graves in London earlier this summer, there was one thing she said about her debut album that stuck with me: America’s Greatest Burnout was the story of her twenties. The mistakes, the heartbreak, the people, the growing up and, ultimately, figuring out who Anna Graves actually is. Well, the wait is finally over - and what a first record this is. From the dreamy opening moments of title track America’s Greatest Burnout, Anna sets the scene perfectly. There’s a warmth to it that immediately pulls you into her world; the kind of song that belongs on a long drive with the windows down and nowhere particularly urgent to be. But underneath that beautiful, laid-back Americana sound is the real heart of this album. This isn't twelve songs simply thrown together for a debut. It genuinely feels like a timeline. Across Damn In Love, Hollow Bones, Goldmine and Ashes & Smoke, Graves moves effortlessly between country, folk and pop without ever sounding like she's trying to fit neatly into any of them. That's perhaps what makes her music so easy to fall in love with. There's something wonderfully timeless about it. And then there's Two Faced. Anyone who knows me knows I've been waiting for this one. It was my standout when I first heard the record, and months later, it still is. When we spoke in London, Anna told me the song came from experiencing a relationship where she trusted somebody completely, only for them to turn their back on her. She described songwriting as therapy and said that every time she sings Two Faced, she feels stronger. Knowing the story somehow makes an already brilliant Americana song hit even harder. It's also exactly what I love about the genre. Give a folk and country songwriter heartbreak, betrayal or one questionable life decision and somehow they'll hand you back a three-minute song that makes you feel like they've been reading your diary. But America’s Greatest Burnout isn't a sad record. That's important. For all the heartbreak running through it, there is an enormous amount of hope here too. Songs like Burn On feel resilient, while Minnesota brings us back to the place that has shaped so much of Anna's identity and songwriting. By the time we reach the latter stages of the album, it feels like we're listening to someone who has been through the chaos and come out the other side knowing herself a little better. That's why this debut works so well. Anna isn't pretending to have everything figured out. Instead, she's created a record about the messy bit in between - trusting the wrong people, chasing dreams, burning out, going home, falling in love, losing things and finding yourself again. I've made absolutely no secret of how much I love Anna Graves' music, so perhaps I'm slightly biased here, but America’s Greatest Burnout is an absolute belter of a debut. Passenger - real name Mike Rosenberg - was inspired by recently (and unexpectedly) becoming a husband and father. 'Wild Love'captures the whirlwind of emotions as their relationship developed - the excitement, the upheaval, the trepidation and the joy. Passenger says, "Going from a working relationship to a romantic one is scary. The older you get, the more of the spikier sides of love you've seen. Things go sour for all sorts of reasons and with someone so close, the stakes are so much higher. 'Wild Love' is the title track because it sums up the theme of the album. Do you give in to your doubts and do nothing, or do you face your fears and go for it? I wrote the song as I was realising that the choice was obvious." While the 'Wild Love' album charts the couple's personal experiences - taking the plunge, cherished early memories together, the realisation that this new love could be one that lasts - the single 'It Was Gonna Be You' is an outlier from a previous chapter in his life, a story of discovering that relationships can rapidly unravel. It is set to a classic Passenger sound of bright, buoyant melody coloured with flourishes of piano and Americana-tinged guitar twangs. He adds, "This is the last song that I wrote for the album and honestly, I wasn't sure if it would fit with the rest of them It came from a slightly less personal place which for a time felt at odds with the rest of the record, but as I kept playing it, it felt more and more at home with the others. 'Wild Love' is Passenger's first full-scale album project since 2021's 'Songs For The Drunk and Broken Hearted', which hit #2 in the UK and went Top 10 across Europe, continuing a long run of success which has included a global breakthrough with 'All The Little Lights' and his first UK #1 in the shape of 'Young As The Morning Old As The Sea'. He also wrote songs for the stage adaptation of Rachel Joyce's novel 'The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry', which transferred to the West End at the start of the year. The musical received an Olivier nomination and five-star reviews across the board, resulting in Passenger releasing a selection of the songs on the album 'One For The Road'. Ian's work will be transformed into an incredible visual experience across the immense Outernet screens and is free to visit. Outernet is the UK's most visited cultural attraction with some of the largest and most advanced screens in the world and annually welcomes over 120 million people. Carnival 60: Ian Watts at Outernet opens with a montage of vibrant, full-colour imagery from recent Carnivals. Black-and-white photographs from Ian's first visits to Carnival in the 1970s then fill the immense Outernet screens. The piece moves into a new collection of pictures spanning the 80s and 90s followed by the installation transitioning into a collage of Ian's images from 2000–2019. This period showcases the rapid growth of Carnival, as everything scaled up from the yet more breathtaking costumes to even bigger block rocking sound systems. The final sequence transports the audience to the Carnival of today completing the visual trip though one of the most iconic events in the world. Ian's own Carnival story is a remarkable one. He bought his first camera in the summer of 1976 as a young teenager just out of school. At the time, he was living in a youth hostel in Harlesden, North WestLondon and taking photographs of the local area and things that caught his artistic eye. Some of his friends that year suggested that he check out the Notting Hill Carnival. He decided to go and take his recently purchased second hand camera along, not knowing that he was about to begin an epic photographic journey that would last for many years to come. Ian has attended and documented through his pictures every Notting Hill Carnival since 1976 bar one. Ian Watts said: "The Outernet exhibition is the culmination of a long photographic journey. It is particularly meaningful to see photographs made with humble analogue cameras and film in the 1970s and 1980s displayed alongside my more recent digital images. These photographs span generations of technology, but the people, energy, creativity and spirit of Carnival connect them all. For me, this is more than an exhibition of photographs. It is a record of a community, a culture and a changing London. It is a personal journey that began with a second-hand camera and has continued through many years of photography and filmmaking." Titled C'MON MEET ME ON THE DANCEFLOOR, the experience brings together music, large-scale visual storytelling and fan participation across the immersive screens of Outernet London. Created and directed by London-based Lookport Studio in collaboration with Outernet London, the installation has been designed specifically for the venue's vast 360-degree digital environment, bringing Madonna's visual world to an entirely new scale. The installation will celebrate Madonna's extraordinary creative legacy while also reflecting the visual language of her latest creative chapter, bringing music and imagery together across one of London's most distinctive digital spaces. At the heart of the installation is an interactive fan experience inviting visitors to contribute to the work themselves. Fans will be able to leave a personal message, with selected photographs and messages appearing across Outernet's monumental screens alongside contributions from other fans. "Madonna helped write the language of modern pop culture through decades of relentless work, constant reinvention and a refusal to stand still.
