It’s hard to believe it has been two whole years since Jordan Davis last visited Glasgow, selling out the O2 Academy. Fast forward to 2026, and country fans swarmed the OVO Hydro for Davis’ biggest Scottish show to date, as part of the Ain’t Enough Road Tour.

It wasn’t just Jordan that fans were treated to, the What My World Spins Around hitmaker brought not one, but TWO incredible vocalists along for the ride: Solon Holt and Avery Anna.

“This is the first time I’ve ever even visited Europe, and I’m playing venues this size.” Solon Holt is a force to be reckoned with. The raspy twang of his voice silenced the arena from the get-go. I recently discovered Solon through his track Good Does It Do and his recent collaboration with The Jack Wharff Band - the voice you hear on streaming platforms? Even more incredible when amplified in a live venue. Opening a show is never an easy feat, but Solon had the crowd in the palm of his hand. From start to finish, the twang of his vocals wrapped the audience up, and we were thoroughly locked into his set. Solon closed his set by announcing he has just finished writing his debut album, which should be out soon. Mark my words: we’re going to be seeing big things from Solon. If that’s how he captures a crowd on his first visit to the UK, we’ll be seeing a lot more of him. May I say… C2C Spotlight Stage 2026?

Next up was Avery Anna, an artist no stranger to Scotland. The first time I caught Avery was supporting Breland at Saint Luke’s in 2023, then again last year at C2C on the main stage - and here she was, just 11 months later, showcasing the most mind-blowing support set I’ve ever seen at the Hydro.

When it comes to Avery Anna, it’s not just her voice - it’s the way she tells a story, how she embodies the lyrics and doesn’t just deliver heart-shattering country belters, her covers? Like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Tell me another artist who can take on Ozzy Osbourne and Taylor Swift, yet still make it entirely their own. Nothing short of incredible. She’ll be returning in the summer as part of State Fayre in Glasgow, but it’s safe to say it’s time for Avery Anna to take on a UK headline tour - and I can guarantee Glasgow would be the first date to sell out. A flawless 10/10. I want to experience it all over again.

The last time Jordan Davis played Glasgow, Bluebird Days was only a few days old, with tracks such as Damn Good Time, Tucson Too Late, What My World Spins Around and Next Thing You Know dominating everyone’s playlists. This time around, Jordan’s latest album, Learn The Hard Way, was hitting the road ahead of the European C2C Festival run.

Jordan Davis was the first artist I ever listened to in the genre. Slow Dance in a Parking Lot was THE track that hooked me on country music, and I’ll forever be thankful to his discography for bringing me into this community. From the get-go, Jordan hit it HARD: Ain’t Enough Road, Turn This Truck Around, Bar None straight into Slow Dance in a Parking Lot. He showed no sign of slowing down, delivering anthem after anthem with a full live band and visuals perfectly crafted to match each song. This was a step up from the Jordan Davis shows we’ve seen before, this was a full-blown production, and I don’t think I stopped smiling from start to finish.

Jordan revealed that he didn’t start touring until 2017, when he first visited the UK to perform alongside Thomas Rhett. “Even back then, when we were just starting out, I never in a million years would expect to be headlining the Hydro all the way in Scotland. I am so grateful.” It was an emotional moment for both Jordan and the crowd, reflecting on just how far he’s come.

It was a night for celebrations, and during A Little Lime, Jordan handed out tequila to the crowd to drink along with the song - what a man.

The song that caught me choking back tears was Next Thing You Know. This is one of the most incredible songs ever written, encapsulating life at all stages. There were parents, partners, children and grandparents in the audience, and you could feel how that song hit everyone in different ways. Hearing it live brought out a whole new level of emotion - nothing short of incredible.

The setlist was carefully curated to cover as much of Jordan’s catalogue as possible, from Song of a Gun and Know You Like That to Singles You Up and Church in a Chevy, which Jordan revealed he wrote about travelling to church with his grandfather when he was younger. Every song came with a story, a memory, and an insight into how it was crafted - such a lovely and personal touch.

Reflecting on the past, Jordan spoke about his love for James Bay and how he used to burn his songs onto CDs, before launching into a mega mix of Matchbox Twenty’s 3AM, Brooks & Dunn’s Red Dirt Road, welcoming Avery Anna back for a cover of Man I Need, and bringing Solon Holt out once more for Wagon Wheel. The mix closed with Mr Brightside, which had the entire audience screaming every word - proof that country concerts truly are for everyone.

There wasn’t a single moment where the energy dipped. The show powered through I Ain’t Sayin’, Take It From Me, and the tear-jerker Buy Dirt, famously written with Luke Bryan. This concert was, without question, one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Closing with What My World Spins Around, Jordan admitted he’s already looking to come back to Scotland: “But I’ll see you guys at the World Cup this year!” - a guaranteed way to send a Scottish crowd into overdrive.

Quite frankly, one of the best nights of my life, and I cannot wait for the next tour to land back in Scotland. Hopefully, we won’t have another two-year wait this time.

Jordan Davis UK leg of the Aint Enough Road Tour continues with dates across Manchester, London and Birmingham
