Brooke Combe is back with her new single 'Love Was Made Of Stone'

Ahead of a run of UK and EU festivals this summer, Brooke Combe is back with her new single 'Love Was Made Of Stone'. The track is the latest to be taken from her forthcoming sophomore album and follows her Fontana Records debut 'Tears Won't Lie'.
Recorded with The Coral's James Skelly at Kempston Studios in Liverpool, 'Love Was Made Of Stone' is a soul filled tale of someone breaking from a relationship built on an illusion. "The song is about years of what was thought to be real love, but something that turns into manipulation and game playing," Brooke says of the track. "Almost like that toxic love we're all aware exists, that you know is no good for you, but you keep holding on with the hope something may change, but it never does." Brooke's knack for turning stories of heartache into soulful, dance floor fillers is once again setting her apart as one of the UK's fastest rising and essential artists.
Shot in Manchester New Century Hall and directed by James Slater (Sam, Fender, Yard Act, CMAT), the retro video leans heavily into Brooke's dancehall vibes. "I wanted the video to just reflect me and the band clearly," Brooke says of the video. "We're a group of mates, who have been brought together through music. I love 'Get Back' by The Beatles and wanted it to be sort of like that. Documentary style, but also to feel like you're in the room with us".
Just back from packed sets at Truck Festival and Tramlines, Brooke will continue to bring her enthralling live show across a stream of UK and EU festivals across the summer, including Victorious Festival, Boardmasters and Sziget Festival, before a run of winter dates with Jalen N'gonda across the UK and Europe later this year, including a date at London's O2 Academy Brixton on October 28th. Brooke will also support Jalen N'Gonda on his North American dates through November and December.
