Before Pacific Avenue played their first Glasgow headline show, I caught up with Dom, Ben and Jack at King Tut’s. I’d only discovered the Australian band a few months earlier, thanks to my friend Lynsey, and now I was sitting down with them in one of Glasgow’s most iconic venues. Not a bad turnaround

There’s something slightly different about interviewing an artist after you’ve watched them tear a stage apart. Usually, I’m backstage before the show, chatting about what’s about to happen. This time, I’d already watched James Johnston walk out in front of a packed SWG3 crowd, bring a bagpiper onto the stage and somehow turn a Glasgow gig into what felt like a country nightclub.
